The Indian Scout is a motorcycle built by the Indian Motocycle Company from 1920 to 1949. It rivaled the Chief as Indian's most important model. The 101 Scout, made from 1928 to 1931, has been called the best motorcycle Indian ever made. A second line of Scouts, with heavier frames, was introduced in 1932 alongside the Standard Scout, which replaced the 101 Scout and shared its frame with the Chief and the Four. The small-displacement Scout and the Sport Scout, introduced in 1934, were continued until the end of civilian production in 1942. Military versions of both models were used by US and other Allied forces during World War II.

The Indian Standard Scout was produced from 1932 to 1937. It replaced the legendary 101 Scout by sharing a heavier, standardized frame with the bigger Indian Chief and Four models - which was a production idea for cost saving by standartizing. Because of its heavier handling compared to the 101, it saw less market success, prompting the creation of the lighter Sport Scout in 1934.

This 1932 Indian Standard Scout is a highly original machine in a nicely patinated running and rideable condition with great character. The Indian is fitted with all original parts and hard to find accessories, equipped with a complete Corbin speedometer set, period US made spotlight, original Motolamp headlight and a nice Indian faced electric horn.

The Standard Scout was imported from the Netherlands, where it had been owned by the same owner for approximately 40 years. During that time, it was ridden only occasionally. It is currently registered in the EU and has valid road registration documents and license plate.
